Often when I finish a painting, or even while working on it, a word or phrase comes to mind which ends up becoming the title. With this one, I just kept thinking about sea glass.

There is something so perfectly symbolic about the way the ocean takes a sharp, discarded piece of glass and tosses it about for years, transforming it into something refined, smooth and beautiful. Sea glass reminds us of our resilience, and to trust that the rough seas of life are shaping us. Only through diving into the depths of our own darkness can we truly know and reflect the infinite light that we are.
